TN Ron Paul Supporter Inspired To Run For Office

The Fact Is: Joe Carr Broke Pledge Not to Support Tax Increases
Murfreesboro, Tenn.—Joe Carr signed a pledge during his failed 2006 campaign to “oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes (http://www.atr.org/pdf/2006/oct/100306pr-tn-general.pdf)” but broke his pledge by sponsoring two different bills last session that would in fact raise taxes.
“It doesn’t matter whom the taxes were going to affect or why,” Carr’s opponent Ryan Harring said. “The man gave his word not to support any effort to raise taxes. He can spin it however he wants but at the end of the day he broke his promise to the people of Rutherford County and needs to be held accountable for that.”
Ryan Harring has been a resident of Rutherford County for nearly 20 years. He runs a successful small computer business with his wife Heather of 5 years and they have two children. Harring is running on a platform to restore prosperity in Tennessee by bringing ethics, conservatism, and responsibility back into office. Learn more at voteryanharring.com
